Chafed Nose
Frequent blowing of the nose usually leads to irritation of the skin around the nose or above the top lip after a few days.
We are all affected by a common cold at least once in a while. Colds are inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity membrane that are accompanied by runny noses. Frequent blowing of the nose usually leads to irritation of the skin around the nose or above the top lip after a few days. The skin is red, grazed and stings. While this is not a serious illness, it can make your life less comfortable for a few days.
Treating a chafed nose
Grazed skin around the nose can be avoided to a certain extent. First and foremost, you should blow your nose carefully using soft paper tissues. Another option is to preemptively salve the skin around the nose with greases or creams.
Choose products which are greasy in substance and that spread well. If the skin does become grazed, treat the affected area with a soothing cream several times a day, choosing a product that includes active ingredients such as zinc, calcium and vitamins, which are important to the regeneration of painful skin.
